EDSON EAGLES EXPLODE FOR 27 GOALS IN DOMINANT WEEKEND SWEEP!

The Edson Eagles put together an incredible weekend on October 2 and 3, 2026, earning back-to-back victories over the Athabasca Rivermen and Redwater Rebels while lighting up the scoreboard for a combined 27 goals in two games!

Friday, October 2: Eagles soar past Rivermen 12–1 on the road

The Eagles kicked off their weekend in dominant fashion, travelling to Athabasca and handing the Rivermen a convincing 12–1 defeat.

Edson wasted little time getting to work, jumping out to a 3–0 lead in the first period, including two power-play goals. The Eagles continued to apply pressure in the second, adding five more goals to take an 8–0 advantage into the final frame.

Athabasca managed to get on the board in the third period, but Edson answered with four additional goals to close out the convincing road victory.

Tayson Hallock led the offensive charge with a hat trick, scoring three times, including twice on the power play. Tyvran Gauchier added two goals of his own, while Zander Hager, Preston Robbins-Myers, Nikolas Panayi, Nathan Johnson, Ashton Hellsten, and Hunter Leroux also found the back of the net.

The Eagles' special teams made a major impact, recording three power-play goals and two shorthanded goals in an impressive all-around performance.

Saturday, October 3: Eagles dominate Rebels 15–2 at home

Edson returned home Saturday night and picked up right where it left off, delivering another offensive explosion with a 15–2 victory over the Redwater Rebels.

The Eagles came out flying, scoring three times early before Redwater briefly cut into the lead. Edson responded with three more goals before the first intermission, taking a commanding 6–1 lead after 20 minutes.

The offensive pressure continued throughout the second period as the Eagles added six unanswered goals, extending their advantage to 12–1 heading into the third. Redwater scored a shorthanded goal in the final frame, but Edson answered with three more goals to secure the 15–2 win.

Zander Hager led the way with a hat trick, while Ethan Gray recorded a pair of goals, including a shorthanded marker. Hunter Leroux also scored twice, and Tayson Hallock, Marcel Green, Tyvran Gauchier, Nikolas Panayi, Griffin Zorn, Roan Guenette, and Kobe Campbell all contributed goals.

The Eagles showed off their depth and offensive firepower, with contributions coming throughout the lineup and the team continuing to find ways to score in all situations.

With strong performances from across the lineup, the Eagles delivered a statement weekend and continued to build momentum as the season moves forward.
